Operation: Seasons Change

by Tim Werle
INTRODUCTION:
Solomon, the wisest man to live, tells us in Ecclesiastes that God created every season for a purpose. Not only do seasons have their purpose, but times of our lives have a purpose too. There will be times when we will laugh, cry, dance, mourn, love others, be loved, grieve, and have peace. Bad times and good times will come and go. You will change. Your friends and family members will change. Your home, school, or church may even change. But you have to know that God will never change.
MATERIALS:
-
Leaves Changing Color

Double Boiler or two pans to make your own

OBSERVATIONS:
-
What changes do you see in nature?
-
What changes are taking place in your life?
-
What does the Bible say about God changing?
LIFE APPLICATION:
Just like in nature where we see change as summer turns into fall, our lives are filled with change. Sometimes we welcome the change and other times change brings sorrow. Regardless of the kind of change we experience, we can be confident in the promise written by the author of the book of Hebrews that “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” If you have a relationship with Him, He will never leave you. He will always be there to help you through. God says that He has made everything beautiful in its time. That means He can take even the worst seasons of life and turn them into something more beautiful than we could ever have imagined. Our God is incredible!
